Student Chapters are welcome at any time to initiate a request to join our organization and become members. Becoming a member of a Student Chapter is just the beginning. The ability to enhance your knowledge and experience in the design and construction industry is readily available through the networking and educational programs we offer. You will meet experienced professionals as well as young professionals through our unique CMIT programs. We recognize the future of our industry is with students and young up-and-comers. CMAA North Carolina Chapter offers reduced rates for CMAA Student Members that are current and in good standing to attend programs in order to provide access to industry information and trends as well as a platform for networking with future employers.

Scholarship Info:
CMAA NC's annual golf tournament provides valuable dollars towards our scholarship fund. Our chapter has provided scholarships to students at ECU, NC State, Wake Tech, and NC A&T. With increased participation and sponsorships to this event, we hope to continue that support in 2023, but we cannot do it without your participation!
Wake Tech's Scholarship was established in 2013 and endowed in 2016 by the NC Chapter of the CMAA (Construction Management Association of America). This scholarship will be used for high-performing Wake Technical Community College students with financial need. The preferred focus of the award is on the construction management degree, followed by all degrees in the Applied Engineering and Technology disciplines, including architecture, geomatics, etc.
East Carolina University: The CMAA-NC Construction Management Scholarship was established in 2019. This College of Engineering and Technology scholarship will be awarded to a student majoring in Construction Management. The student must be a North Carolina resident, demonstrate financial need, and be in good academic standing.
NC A&T: CMAA Endowed Scholarship was established in 2019. The scholarship will be awarded based on the recommendations by the Dean of the College of Science and Technology. The scholarship shall be open to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, disability, age or veteran status, and subject to the following criteria: must be undergraduate student currently enrolled or admitted to attend the University, must demonstrate sustained academic performance with at least 3.0 GPA, must major in Construction Management in the College of Science, preference to participation/leadership within the area of Construction Management through involvement including the N.C. A&T Student Chapter of CMAA.
Western Carolina University: CMAA Endowed Scholarship was established in 2022. The scholarship will be awarded to construction management majors beginning in the 2023-2024 academic year, with preference given to students demonstrating a significant financial need.
Appalachian State University: The CMAA-NC Endowment Scholarship for Construction Management was established at Appalachian State University in 2024 and the first scholarship was awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year. The scholarship provides support to junior or senior students majoring in Construction Management in the Department of Renewable Energy Technology and the Built Environment. Qualified students may apply at the Appalachian Scholarship Application Portal (ASAP) website.
